Well this summer has been busy and crazy. I haven't been blogging lately, but thought this is one topic I should say something about My grandmother Ruth Neilson passed away July 9,2011. Since I am lucky enough to stay home with my kids I also had the opportunity to visit my grandma often. My kids loved visiting her. Every time they would go they would get to play with fun toys, get a bingo prize, go for a wheelchair ride and see the fish. I think because of the frequency we were there that they were able to forge a close relationship with their great-grandmother. Great-grandma taught Jaxson how to play patty-cake, but when she taught him she had a bad hand and so she would clap with one hand turned the wrong way. He played that way for two years. She also could not remember Madison's name so she became Grandma's little sweet heart. She will be greatly missed, but the lessons she taught will always be with us. Since her favorite color is Yellow the kids wore black and yellow. Here are a few pictures from the funeral.
