Staying at home

I have been blessed to be able to stay at home since Madison was born. I was able to stay home with Jaxson for a while as well, but emotionally I was not ready. This time around I prepared myself. Staying at home with a newborn can be kind of lonely and boring at times. Since I was staying at home I offered to watch Taylor. This has been a big help with Jaxson. I also joined a mom's group that has weekly activities. We have had a lot of fun. We went down to discovery gateway, did some cookie decorating, celebrated the Chinese New Year and today we went to Bouncing off the Walls. The kids loved it.

Even Madison went twice and held her breath the whole way (sorry for the Chest shot)
They had a great time, but when the tears started coming out I knew we had over stayed. We went home, had lunch and then they went down for a nap. I stayed up and ran on our new treadmill. I ran 2 miles straight which seemed like such an accomplishment. When everyone woke up I wanted to get out of the house. We drove to great-grandma's house and she was not there, then we went to great-grandma Best and she was not home either. It was fairly warm outside so we stopped at the park.

We had such a fun time. I can't wait until the weather gets warm enough to always be outside.

  2. That sounds like a fun day, great job with the running! I'm glad you're enjoying staying home more this time, it's not as easy as everyone thinks it is!
