Easter

Easter is a great holiday. Usually it isn't too busy, the kids get to dress up and find hidden treasures. Jaxson was very excited, but the weeks leading up to it he started making a list of what the Easter bunny would bring him. It turned out to be a very long Christmas list. I would explain to him that the easter bunny doesn't bring that much stuff. It needs to fit in an easter basket. I think he finally understood when he found his basket, atleast he didn't act disappointed. I have always enjoyed dressing the kids up for church though. Here are a few pictures.

Jaxson is such a poser

We were able to have breakfast at Nana's house and have an Easter egg hunt. When you are the only two grandchildren you tend to get a little spoiled. The easter bunny was very generous at Nana's house. They got toys, pajamas, books, candy and much much more. Jaxson loved looking for eggs.

The Easter Bunny even gave Madison a necklace, bracelet and Ring.
After the first Nana's house we went to church and home for a nap. I was exhausted. Once we all woke up we headed to Nana Jacque's house where we had an amazing dinner and all the cousins had an easter egg hunt outside. The little ones had a section for eggs and the older kids went another way.
It took Madison a while before she really understood what to do

Jaxson took of for as many eggs as possible

Isabella was so cute with her glasses and dress.

Ma look what I got
Over all it was a great day. We did not forget the true meaning of easter and tried to take time out to explain to Jaxson why we celebrated Easter. If you ask him now he would say, "Because Jesus died for us. . . and to get candy"
