So it has been our new years resolution to save money, but we still want to go out and do things. This weekend was all about going out, but not spend any money. Our first stop was to the SLC Library. However Jaxson was not interested in reading any books. Taylor and Aiden were there so he had to run around the library. After a good hour playing there we decided to go to the Clark Planatarium. We had fun looking at all the exhibits and the kids loved playing "on the moon". After that we walked around in the rain for a while at the gateway. It was a nice weekend. Does anyone else know of some fun free or inexpensive places to take the kids to?

Hey Megan, glad to see you started a blog...you'll see it's a fun way to keep everyone updated! ;)
ReplyDeleteAs for free fun things that kids can enjoy...let's see...
I remember when I lived in UT I used to take Sam at the South Town Mall, there is a play area for kids, downstairs by Mervyns. Also, we used to go to the Draper Park a lot. When the weather gets warmer, the water area at Gateway is good too. Mc Donald's play area is always fun for kids. If you have other friends who have kids, home hosted playdates are the best!
So fun to see your blog and read about what you're doing; I'll have to show it to Travis! My friend just did a post on her blog about a fun, cheap place for the kids. It's called the Kangaroo House and I guess it's full of bouncy houses. I think she said it was $6 for the day and well worth it! :) Here's the link: http://chris-michelle.blogspot.com/2009/01/bounce-bounce-bounce.html
